Why people use Merge PDF
“The portal only accepts one file.”
Résumé, cover letter and certificates in a single PDF.
“Twelve receipts, one report.”
Combine scans in date order before sending them to your accountant.
“Upload your assignment as one PDF.”
Join chapters, appendices and scanned pages into one document.
Merge PDFs without uploading them
Most online PDF mergers send your documents to a remote server. HandyPDF opens and combines them inside your browser, so contracts, tax forms and medical records never leave your computer or phone.
Any number of files
There is no file-count or size cap — only your device’s memory sets the limit.
Order you control
Drag thumbnails, sort A–Z, or remove a file before merging.
Quality preserved
Pages are copied as-is: text stays selectable and images keep full resolution.
Works on any device
Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone and Android — in any modern browser.
Frequently asked questions
Is it really free?
Yes. No daily limits, no sign-up and no watermark. Because the work happens on your device, it costs us nothing to run — the site is supported by unobtrusive ads.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Your files are opened and processed by code running in this browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server — you can confirm it in your browser’s Network panel, or by turning off Wi-Fi after the page loads.
How many PDFs can I merge at once?
There is no fixed limit. Very large jobs depend on your device’s memory; most computers handle hundreds of pages easily.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Remove the password first with Unlock PDF (you need to know it), then merge the unlocked file.
How do I merge PDFs on iPhone?
Open this page in Safari, tap “Choose PDF files”, pick the files from the Files app, tap Merge PDF and save the result to Files.
Will the merged PDF lose quality?
No. Pages are copied without re-compressing, so text, vector graphics and images look exactly as they did in the originals.
